Hi guys!

The backend for our directory of tumblr sites is pretty much done! But I have one problem: I'm not sure how it should be organized.

As I see it, normally a directory like this would be grouped by the primary subject of the blog -- but as we all know, tumblelogs are a different animal. We all have primary interests we will cover, but I don't think a subject-based taxonomy is the right way to go because I think most of us cover so many different things.

Looks like I'm not the only person who thought a Tumblr community would be a great idea. Yup, the ~300 members of http://tumblers.ning.com/ think so too. Oops. Next time I set one of these up I'll make sure it's for something that doesn't already exist. :)
